White Wine by Brassfield from North Coast, California. The home ranch on the western side of High Valley has been known as High Serenity Ranch for over one hundred years. Brassfield 2006 Pinot Grigio comes from the original 10 acre vineyard and the 40 acre vineyard, planted in 2003. Both of these vineyards are comprised of gravelly loams, and are some of the coolest growing conditions in High Valley. The 2006 Pinot Grigio emits a dazzling forward bouquet of orange blossom, vanilla bean extract, pineapple and Bartlett pears. The ripe fruit offers flavors of the same luscious fruit while, at the same time, remaining crisp with balanced acidity, medium body, and lingering finish.

With the breezes that keep Monterey cool during the day and coastal weather to keep the grapes warm at night, Arroyo Seco is one of the best-known regions for growing the Pinot grape. Aromas of vibrant grapefruit and green apple with notes of lemon. A crisp, refreshing mouthfeel with flavors of green apple, citrus and mineral. This wine pairs well with salads, light seafood, delicate chicken dishes and spicy foods.

White Wine by Terlato Vineyards from Russian River, California. Pinot Grigio resembles Pinot Noir until veraison. The clusters when harvested are a beautiful copper color. Being a natural genetic mutation, Pinot Grigio has all the intrigue, complexity and flavors of Pinot Noir, with none of the red color. This vintage suggests that the Russian River Valley can produce Pinot Grigio every bit as glorious as its famous Pinot Noirs. The fruit comes from two vineyards in the Russian River Valley. The grapes were hand harvested and delivered to the winery in half-ton picking bins in the cooler mornings in order to maximize the grapes' integrity.
