Red Wine by Cardinal Zin from Central Coast, California. The 2005 Cardinal Zin is a simple and straightforward Zinfandel, medium dark in color, with a nice balance of fruit and spice. This Zinfandel combines luscious fruit tones of ripe blackberries and plums with hints of brewed tea, black pepper and vanilla. Easy to drink, with soft tannins.

Red Wine by Estancia from Central Coast, California. Aroma: Hints of dark berries, red plum, cocoa bean, nutmeg and vanilla fill the nose. Flavor: Ripe boysenberry and black cherry are accented by notes of dark chocolate and cinnamon. Soft hints of creamy vanilla accompany the lingering finish.

The 2006 vintage of Toad Hollow Cacophony Zinfandel comes from the Paso Robles appellation where Zinfandel vines thrive upon the long hot days and chilly nights. This new offering is 80% Zinfandel and 20% Petit Sirah and is fragrant with juicy raspberries and pomegranates. It's a juicy, jammy wine that you should allow in your pleasure zone with great rewards.

Red Wine by Wente from Central Coast, California. This Zinfandel is from the Livermore Valley about 30 miles west of the San Francisco Bay. It has a nice berry jam flavor, smooth tannins and a lingering fruit finish. This Zinfandel was specially selected to be included into the Wente Vineyards Reserve portfolio for its color, fruit, and tannin potential. Rich, smooth, and full, this is an excellent example of Livermore Valley Zinfandel. The Smith Bench property is in the southwestern part of the Livermore Valley, where it benefi ts from warm, sunny days, and cool, foggy nights influenced by the climate of the San Francisco Bay. The rows are spaced eight feet apart, with vertical shoot positioning (VSP) to increase air flow and cause the Zinfandel to ripen perfectly. The Zinfandel vineyard was planted in 1999 with clones from the old Raboli vineyard, so it is now reaching full maturity.
