A successful effort for the vintage, the 2004 St.-Joseph Vignes des Hospices exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a beautiful perfume of black raspberries, crushed rocks, flowers, licorice, and a hint of tapenade. Rich, medium-bodied, and concentrated, this is a stunning success for a vintage such as 2004. It should drink well for a decade. -Wine Advocate 90-92

Grape variety: 100% Syrah from 30-year old vines Color: A deep and beautiful dark purple color Bouquet: The nose is reminiscent of spices from Provence (thyme, rosemary) and ripe red fruits. Taste: Round and well structured with an elegant balance and a lingering finish. Serving suggestions: Delicious with red meats and lamb.

Red Wine by St. Cosme from Rhone, France - Rhone. 100% Syrah from late-ripening granite and schistes terroirs. Aged twelve months in a combination of new (20%) and older (one to three-year-old) barrels. There are terrific aromatics here, and the potential of the appellation is enormous.
