Red Wine by Ch. Lamargue from Languedoc, France. Blend: 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache Noir, 10% Mourvedre A bright ruby red color. The bouquet has an intense, fruit-forward nose with notes of licorice and dried fruit. The palate is fresh, vibrant and well-balanced, with ripe blackberry and black currant flavors, soft tannins and a smooth, round finish. Located in France's southern Rhone Valley, Chateau Lamargue (Lah-Marg) comprises 210 acres of vineyard in the up-and-coming Costieres de Nimes appellation. The estate boasts a showcase winery equipped with the most advanced winemaking technology as well as new French and American oak barriques. Investment to date stands at over $12 million dollars. Their Costieres de Nimes AOC wines come from vineyards where yields are approximately one bottle of wine per vine.

The Ligneres' own love at first site occurred here when Suzette acquired the upper terrace and planted 15 hectares of vines. 15 years later her sons Jean and Paul also fell in love with the little valley at their feet.
