Red Wine by Robert Mondavi from Napa Valley, California. This Cabernet Sauvignon has deep, expressive aromas and flavors of berry and black currant with nuances of mocha, violets and spice. The fruit envelops an elegant structure with firm, velvety tannins and excellent length. The wine's personality comes from the soils and climates of vineyards located in the geographic center of Napa Valley. Fermentation with both native and cultured yeast strains gives layers of nuance to the wine, and extended skin contact intensifies varietal complexity and softens tannins. The wine was aged in French oak chateau barrels and bottled it without filtration to capture the full flavor profile and lush texture.

This wine beautifully expresses the power and flavor of the top-tier, skillfully farmed vineyards used in its creation. The wine was artistically blended utilizing all five classic Bordeaux varietals. The aromas and flavors tip towards raspberry, black cherries, and cassis. These flavors dance among the rich, velvety tannins and leave a long chocolate/espresso finish. Bright, juicy, red fruit characters supported by layers of dark chocolate, vanilla, espresso, cedar, nutmeg and cinnamon make the wine intriguing and delightful to drink.

Red Wine by St. Clement from Napa Valley, California. This elegant Cabernet Sauvignon is made from fruit grown on the valley floor throughout Napa Valley and represents distinct growing regions from southern Napa to St. Helena. The addition of Cabernet Franc creates structure in the wine while a touch of Merlot adds length to the mid-palate and a layer of fruit aromatics on the nose. Aged 18 months in 66 percent new French oak, the lots were aged separately until blended before bottling. Red cherry, rhubarb and spice aromas are the introduction to this elegant wine as flavors of raspberry, cherry and rhubarb pie co-mingle with anise, clove and hints of cocoa powder on the palate. Soft tannins carry this well-balanced Cabernet to a lengthy and flavorful finish.

Blend: 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot Luxurious, rich and concentrated with aromas of cherry, currant and blueberry these are just the start of this 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon. The harmonious flavors of black cherry, anise and plush cassis explode upon tasting. This is a classic Napa Valley Cabernet which is wonderful young but has everything it needs to age beautifully. Enjoy now through 2011.

Red Wine by Silverado from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc Ripe jammy fruit and cola aromas with hints of dried herbs. Medium to full body with cherry, raspberry and mineral flavors. Lively acidity leads to a fruity and persistent finish.

Planted by the Warren Winiarski Family in 1970, S.L.V. achieved international fame when the very first harvest at the winery in 1973 produced a wine that astounded the wine world by triumphing over some of France's greatest wines in a 1976 blind tasting in Paris, now commonly referred to as the “Judgement of Paris. Thirty vintages later, S.L.V. continues to yield wines of classic elegance and structure. T his history-making vineyard and terroir is beautifully expressed in this 2003 vintage wine. Alluring aromas of cocoa powder and black cherry evolve alongside pretty floral tones and a hint of smoke. Flavors of chocolate, raspberry, and black cherry coat the mouth with a light touch of cedar and truffles that weave through the multi-layered structure for which S.L.V. is renowned. As the wine opens, look for more subtle notes of violets, nutmeg, and truffles.  The aromas carry over to the palate with additional flavors of cassis, orange peel, and clove.  This medium to full-bodied wine has fine grained and smooth pebbly tannins.   Its firm structure and fine balance make it a perfect accompaniment to classic chop house fare.  Try this wine with any fine cut of steak and you will be delighted

Blend: 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3%Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec Cabernet has always been a mainstay in the winemaking program at Stags' Leap Winery, and winemaker Kevin Morrisey likes to blend a combination of estate fruit and grapes from key vineyards located in many of the other prestigious Napa Valley appellations. Much of the estate vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon where deep, well-drained, loamy volcanic soils make this a perfect place to grow Cabernet. Rich ruby red in color, luscious aromatics of black cherry, blackberries, and plum greet the nose with a slight back note of earth, leather, and bittersweet chocolate. Flavors of plum compote, spice, green tea, and cocoa are the introduction to this wine as velvety, unctuous tannins blend with a juicy, naturally balanced mid-palate of complex structure. Layers of spice, coffee and cream integrate with fruit notes to the end.

Dark ruby in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens to spicy notes of raspberry and black cherry with hints of cedar and toasty oak rounding out the aroma. Blend: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc The nose starts off with dark, jammy fruits, cedar wood spice, clove and toasted marshmallow. Bright cherry fruit on the entry with notes of dark cocoa. Smooth, lingering tannins lead to a rich, silky finish. Will age nicely for the next 5-7 years.

Cocoa powder, cedar, toast with hints of mineral add depth and complexity. Palate: The mouth feel is rich and full with a luscious texture that builds to a long lingering finish.

Red Wine by Von Strasser from Napa Valley, California. Only the darkest, most extracted lots from our estate vineyards are used in making this wine. This wine is deep in color. Aromas of cassis, cocoa powder, vanilla and sarsaparilla are interwoven with flavors of black currant, dried plums and cherries, and chocolate. Dense, with a slightly sweet finish that lingers on. Varietal Make-up: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Petit Verdot 5% Merlot

Red Wine by Von Strasser from Napa Valley, California. The Diamond Mountain District Cabernet is a blend of all of von Strasser's Cabernet vineyards with a small amount of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is deep, dense, dark, and rich with loads of ripe cherry, blackberry and cassis. It has firm tannins and a long milk chocolate finish. Perfect with a thick New York Strip, a grilled rack of lamb or smoked baby back ribs.

Red Wine by Von Strasser from Napa Valley, California. This is what Cabernet is all about! It is a big, bold wine with intense fruit, a full body and a long smooth finish. Look for blueberry and cassis lined with chocolate and anise. The Estate Cab is very approachable early but will continue to improve with age and reward your patience.

Blend: 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot This Cabernet Sauvignon is an appealing blend of lush fruit with aromas of cherry, currant and spicy oak. The wine has rich texture and flavors of blackberry, plum and cherry. With ample fruit, good weight in the mid-palate and velvety tannins, this beautifully balanced wine is ready to enjoy now, but with aging potential to 2012.
