We heard this from our friends all the time, and in fact, we were guilty of saying it ourselves! So we set out to create wines that are as comfortable watching the sunset as they are celebrating the milestones of our lives. Our 2003 Spellbound Cabernet exemplifies lush textures and bold dark fruit flavors with a slight hint of oak. Cedar and tobacco aromas compliment integrated supple tannins allowing the wine to be consumed on its own or with your favorite food.

Planted by the Warren Winiarski Family in 1970, S.L.V. achieved international fame when the very first harvest at the winery in 1973 produced a wine that astounded the wine world by triumphing over some of France's greatest wines in a 1976 blind tasting in Paris, now commonly referred to as the “Judgement of Paris. Thirty vintages later, S.L.V. continues to yield wines of classic elegance and structure. T his history-making vineyard and terroir is beautifully expressed in this 2003 vintage wine. Alluring aromas of cocoa powder and black cherry evolve alongside pretty floral tones and a hint of smoke. Flavors of chocolate, raspberry, and black cherry coat the mouth with a light touch of cedar and truffles that weave through the multi-layered structure for which S.L.V. is renowned. Time will take this wine to even greater heights, but it can be enjoyed now for those who appreciate the robust quality of its fruit

Our Napa Valley collection of wines are crafted with the same approach to winemaking as our limited-production estate wines, resulting in wines of supple power and elegance.  In fact, fruit from our estate vineyards forms the focal point of this blend and provides the stylistic inspiration for this wine.  ARTEMIS, named after the Greek goddess of the hunt, represents our targeted approach of establishing this wine’s origin, style, and character as a gateway to our renowned estate wines.   Sensuous aromas of rich, dark chocolate, black cherries, and espresso immediately rise from the glass. As the wine opens, look for more subtle notes of violets, nutmeg, and truffles.  The aromas carry over to the palate with additional flavors of cassis, orange peel, and clove.  This medium to full-bodied wine has fine grained and smooth pebbly tannins.   Its firm structure and fine balance make it a perfect accompaniment to classic chop house fare.  Try this wine with any fine cut of steak and you will be delighted

Blend: 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3%Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec Cabernet has always been a mainstay in the winemaking program at Stags' Leap Winery, and winemaker Kevin Morrisey likes to blend a combination of estate fruit and grapes from key vineyards located in many of the other prestigious Napa Valley appellations. Much of the estate vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon where deep, well-drained, loamy volcanic soils make this a perfect place to grow Cabernet. Rich ruby red in color, luscious aromatics of black cherry, blackberries, and plum greet the nose with a slight back note of earth, leather, and bittersweet chocolate. Flavors of plum compote, spice, green tea, and cocoa are the introduction to this wine as velvety, unctuous tannins blend with a juicy, naturally balanced mid-palate of complex structure. Layers of spice, coffee and cream integrate with fruit notes to the end.

Dark ruby in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens to spicy notes of raspberry and black cherry with hints of cedar and toasty oak rounding out the aroma. Flavors of black cherry and blackberry, raspberries, hints of roasted coffee and an earthy, savory spiciness coat the palate, and lead to a long, elegant finish. Red Wine by Sterling from Central Coast, California. An inviting deep ruby-red color. This is a very aromatic wine, offering dark fruit, cassis, dried herbs, cocoa powder and vanilla. Flavors are of more blackberry and other dark fruit, black olives, caramel, root beer and vanilla. The wine's tannins are round and chewy, offering great balance and a lingering toasty and fruity finish. A great match with red meats and pastas.

Red Wine by Susana Balbo from Argentina, South America. Varietal composition: 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec Deep ruby color with hints of purple. Classic Cabernet aromas of rich red fruits, plum, tobacco, roasted coffee beans, and a touch of fresh mint. The aromas are echoed on the palate, with layers of fruit and spice pushing on and on. It's a full-bodied wine that has incredible length and purity of flavor-it really keeps you coming back for more. Pairs well with a wide range of foods from beef and pork to lamb, quail and other game birds, and cream-based sauces. This wine will age very well, so don't forget some bottles for the cellar too.

Red Wine by Tempus Alba from Argentina, South America. 100% Cabernet Seductive fruit flavors of cherries, sweet red peppers, and soft tannins. Great extraction and color with an impressive midrange of flavors.

Red Wine by Terra Valentine from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc The nose starts off with dark, jammy fruits, cedar wood spice, clove and toasted marshmallow. Bright cherry fruit on the entry with notes of dark cocoa. Smooth, lingering tannins lead to a rich, silky finish. Will age nicely for the next 5-7 years.

Color: Black-garnet, with some touches of purple Aroma: A berry parade - cassis, black cherries, strawberries and raspberry jam Palate: More berries and spices open to richness on the mid-palate. Tight structure with a nice grip, and robust body with a sleek and persistent finish.

Red Wine by Tintara from McLaren Vale, Australia. The McLaren Vale region is strongly maritime influenced, with considerable variation in climate between the hill slopes and the sea. The hills produce favorable seasonal rains while the coast brings ripening sunshine softened by cooling breezes. Tintara fruit is 100% McLaren Vale and includes only the absolute best lots from both estate-owned and contracted vineyards. The vineyards age to 70 years and these provide the dense character and powerful dark fruit aromas found in Tintara. The fruit for this wine was destemmed and crushed into 4 and 7-ton open-top fermenters. The wine was tasted 3 times daily and the fermentation temperature and extraction regime adjusted at each tasting to maximize flavor extraction, keeping tannin in balance with the fruit intensity. When the tannin and fruit balance were extracted to the desired level, the wines were basket pressed to tank. After settling for 24 hours, the wine was racked into French oak barrels. The 2002 vintage is ripe and juicy in flavor with currants, black fruits and a rich palate of leather, earth and spice, giving way to a long and balanced finish.

Red Wine by Tintara from McLaren Vale, Australia. Tintara fruit is 100% McLaren Vale and includes only the best lots from both estate-owned and contracted vineyards. The 70-year-old vineyards provide the dense character and powerful dark fruit aromas. Appearance: Vibrant deep red with crimson hue. Aroma: Ripe dark berries and black currant accented by hints of plum. A touch of anise and cinnamon are accompanied by subtle notes of leather. Flavor: Stylish and powerful, with a rich, fruit-driven palate. Medium- to full-bodied with flavors of dark tobacco, jam and hints of anise are flowed by a long, bold finish.

Red Wine by Torres from Spain. Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo are the grapes that bestow their nobility on Gran Coronas, a wine of a deep red hue, with ochre and brick-red touches from its aging. The rich, sensual aroma is typical of the grape varieties recalling small red and black berries(cherries and blackcurrants), green coffee beans, licorice and the characteristic vanilla and leather notes from aging. On the palate the wine is full and silky with dense, well-structured tannins. Excellent with any meat dish, from the simplest grilled steak to the finest game.

Red Wine by Tortoise Creek from Languedoc-Roussillon, France - regions. The grapes are grown and sourced from four single vineyard sites from the Languedoc region in the south of France along the Mediterranean. No oak was used and the wine was bottled without filtration. The Cabernet has fruity notes of black cherry and spice that dance on the nose. Silky on the palate with flavors of blackberries, dark cherry and licorice with a long finish. Enjoy with roasted potatoes, grilled steak, beef stew and firmer cheeses.

Red Wine by Trinchero from North Coast, California. Composition: 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot Once again, Trinchero's Lake County and Central Coast vineyards yielded a powerful Cab that is deep, dense and ripe with black cherry, plum and a hint of earthiness. It delivers the warm fruit and broad mouth feel typical of Trinchero Cabernet Sauvignon. The medium plus body combined with juicy ripe fruit and flavor-enhancing acidity make this versatile wine an excellent complement to grilled steaks, salmon or even a meaty pizza.
