This wine is made from the most intense, powerful wines from the vineyard; very deep concentrated fruit; a predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc with some Malbec/Merlot to round it out. It has a high percentage of restrained new oak which integrates well with the fruit. It has great length. Cabernet Sauvignon 82% Merlot 9% Cabernet Franc 7% Malbec 2%

Red Wine by Villa Maria from Marlborough, New Zealand. The nose offers a rich array of fruit with subtle oak and earthy aromas. On the palate, the wine displays cherry, plum and ripe berry characters, balanced by savory and spice elements. Soft, fine-grained tannins provide structure and definition, yet allow for immediate consumption. Food pairings: White game meats, lamb dishes, Port Salut and other soft cheeses.

Red Wine by Vina Gormaz from Ribera del Duero, Spain. The early 2006 harvest resulted in a deeply-colored, intense young wine that should prove to be a worthy successor to the superb 2004 and 2005 vintages. Deep wild berry aromas and mouth filling flavor and length are provided by the old Tempranillo vines. Tannins are ample but balanced by textural richness and juicy fruit. Dark purple. Primary dark berry aromas are complicated by musky earth and dark chocolate. Tarry cherry and cassis flavors are gently tannic and finish sweet. Straightforward, ready to drink and tasty. Red Wine by Vina Robles from Central Coast, California. Petite Sirah's are big intense wines and this one displays color of deep purple/black. It has intense aromas of dark berry fruits including notes of blueberry and plum as well as earth and pepper, complimented by vanilla and toasty oak. This is a full bodied wine with a juicy and concentrated palate of blackberryy, plum and blueberry fruit with a touch of spice and pepper. The finish is long and pleasant. A wonderful compliment to grilled meats.

Red Wine by Vinas del Cenit from Spain. The 2004 Venta Mazzaron, made from old Tinta de Toro vines and aged in French oak, exhibits lovely sweet cherries in an up-front, fruit-driven style, medium body, and no evidence of wood. This is a tasty, value-priced wine to drink over the next 1-2 years. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate This wine is made from ungrafted Tinta de Toro old vines. The vineyards are planted on soils that are a good blend of sand and chalk with a good amount of iron over the typical underlayment of clay which is common in Toro.

Red Wine by Volteo from Spain. Red violet color, with purple hues. The aroma of the wine leaves subtle memories of ripen fruits (blackcurrants, raspberries). On the palate it is fresh, structured and very fruity. 100% Tempranillo. Ideally suited with BBQ beef and poultry as well as vegetables or salad. The label is temperature sensitive and the equestrian & horse image will show a blue outline when the optimum drinking temp is reached. Volteo~ Vaulting, an equestrian discipline described as gymnastics is performed onthe back of a moving horse in a circle. It is an art that requires the skill of a gymnast, the strength of a sportsman and the balance, coordination and gentleness of an acrobatic dancer. The teamwork to obtain a perfect integration of the horse andthe vaulter is also key. With a history extending back to Roman sports, it flourished in the Renaissance when it was considered an exercisefor knights and noblemen, a symbol of status.

Red Wine by Von Strasser from Napa Valley, California. Only the darkest, most extracted lots from our estate vineyards are used in making this wine. This wine is deep in color. Aromas of cassis, cocoa powder, vanilla and sarsaparilla are interwoven with flavors of black currant, dried plums and cherries, and chocolate. Dense, with a slightly sweet finish that lingers on. Varietal Make-up: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Petit Verdot 5% Merlot

Red Wine by Von Strasser from Napa Valley, California. The Diamond Mountain District Cabernet is a blend of all of von Strasser's Cabernet vineyards with a small amount of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is deep, dense, dark, and rich with loads of ripe cherry, blackberry and cassis. It has firm tannins and a long milk chocolate finish. Perfect with a thick New York Strip, a grilled rack of lamb or smoked baby back ribs.

Red Wine by Von Strasser from Napa Valley, California. This is what Cabernet is all about! It is a big, bold wine with intense fruit, a full body and a long smooth finish. Look for blueberry and cassis lined with chocolate and anise. The Estate Cab is very approachable early but will continue to improve with age and reward your patience.

Red Wine by Voss Vineyards from Napa Valley, California. Vineyard The fruit for our VV2 Syrah is grown at our vineyard in Rutherford. The Voss Vineyard purchased in 1996 contains primarily clay loam soils, which encourage moderate vigor in the vines. When combined with an ideal climate of warm days and cool nites, this site gives Syrah rich in flavor and texture. Vintage The 2002 vintage began early with bud break occurring in mid March. March and most of April were warm, causing rapid vine growth. The end of April turned cold with several nights of frost. The weather warmed up in May with flowering in Syrah during the third week under partly cloudy skies. From June until August the weather was relatively cool, with daytime temperatures in the mid seventies to low eighties. This mild weather caused a slow ripening of the fruit, leading to a long hang-time, which allows the flavor precursors to fully develop. September gave just enough heat to fully ripen the tannins before harvest. Winemaking After harvesting and crushing in the early morning, the Syrah fruit underwent a 3-day cold soak prior to fermentation. Cap management included both pump-overs and rack and returns to aerate the must and achieve full extraction. Just prior to dryness the tank was pressed to barrel to finish fermentation and spent 18 months in American oak. Winemaker's Notes The 2002 VV2 Syrah is deep red color and exhibits cherry, plum and mocha aromas. On the palate this wine offers bright berry flavours complemented by vanilla and toast notes. Supple tannins will allow this wine to age gracefully for the next 5 years.
