Red Wine by B.R. Cohn from Sonoma County, California. The 2002 Doobie Red Collector Series is a limited production set of wines, bering three album covers and is sure to be a great hit! This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from Sonoma County. It offers exceptional fruit flavors of black cherry and plum. The Doobie Brothers are one of the very few American Rock'N Roll bands that have been able to achieve and sustain a phenomenal level of success. There will be three album covers released every year for the next four years, of all Doobie Brother releases, making it a complete set. Bruce Cohn makes award winning wines and has been managing the Doobie Brothers for over 35 years. This wine celebrates the rich history of this band and Bruce's love of wine. Red Wine by Badia a Coltibuono from Tuscany, Italy. The Badia a Coltibuono Riserva, our most classic wine, is made exclusively from autoctonous grapes. It is loved by wine aficionados worldwide and is considered to be a true emblem of the Chianti territory. As a testimony to its long history and traditions, the estate is the proud possessor of a unique patrimony of old Riserva wines which date back as far as 1937. Unfortunately wines preceding this vintage were lost during the Second World War. The Riserva is produced only on better vintages. Intense ruby-red in colour. On the nose it has notes of forest berries, marasca cherries and spices. On the palate it is soft, elegant and velvety with good structure that is characterised by soft tannins. The 2001 harvest was characterised by an early start. A long hot summer followed, a prolonged drought that lasted until the end of August. When the rain finally did arrive, in mid-September, the very welcome rainfall allowed the vines to complete the ripening of the grapes.

Red Wine by Badia a Coltibuono from Tuscany, Italy. Due to the even climate, 2005 produced well-balanced wines with good concentration. Intense ruby color, forest berry notes with spicy overtones. Full-flavored, soft, with well-balanced acidity. Clean and persistent aftertaste.

Red Wine by Banfi from Tuscany, Italy. An extremely limited release produced in only favorable vintages, Excelsus is an extraordinary wine made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Each varietal is macerated and fermented for 20-25 days, then aged separately in French oak barrique for one year. They are blended, and further matured in the bottle for an additional one to two years. A densely colored, ruby-hued red with garnet tones, this austere wine offers an opulent bouquet that hints of plum, black currant and bell pepper. Excelsus complements red meats, game, rich-tasting dishes and full-flavored cheeses.

Chianti has long been regarded by many as the most Italian of wines, not only because it is the most widely produced classified wine, but also because it possesses a unique personality. Banfi Chianti Classico embodies all of the characteristics that have made this wine an enduring classic: an alluring bouquet of black fruit and violets; rich flavors of cherry and leather; supple tannins and good acidity for dining. Fermentation takes place with a traditional skin contact of 8 to 10 days. Aging in French oak barriques for 7 months follows. Bottling is carried out in the summer following the harvest. Banfi Chianti Classico is the perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of foods, including red-sauced pastas, grilled meats, and roasts.

Red Wine by Banfi from Tuscany, Italy. Col Di Sasso, which translates to Stony Hill, is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated on the most rocky and impervious slopes of the Banfi estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. Typically harvested in early October, each grape variety is vinified separately. The Sangiovese imparts body, while stainless steel aged Cabernet Sauvignon adds fruit and structure. Col Di Sasso is a youthful red to be enjoyed with grilled or roasted meats, poultry, or as an ideal accompaniment to pasta with meat sauce and mildly piquant cheeses.

Blend: 60% Sangiovese; 20% Cabernet Sauvignon; 20% Merlot The calcareous soil and temperate micro-climate of Tuscany rewards the wine grape with unequaled fruitiness. Among the noble grape varieties that thrive here are Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Centine is a bright ruby-red youthful wine, intensely fruity with a lingering finish - a testament to its overall balance. It is an ideal companion to pasta, grilled or roasted red and white meats.

Red Wine by Banfi from Tuscany, Italy. Castello Banfi Rosso di Montalcino is a wine of noble origins and impressive original thinking. Made from 100% select Sangiovese clones, Rosso di Montalcino is considered Brunello's younger sibling. Rosso di Montalcino is aged less than its elder counterpart - 12 months in wood (half in French oak barrique and half in Slavonian oak casks) followed by at least 6 months in the bottle before release. It is deep ruby-red in color with a dry, round, velvety taste and generous body - characteristics similar to those desired in a great Brunello. Castello Banfi Rosso di Montalcino is an outstanding companion to veal, red meats and cheeses.

Red Wine by Barnard Griffin from Columbia Valley, Washington. Sensory: Here is another great Syrah!! Again with a warm vintage we gained great color and dramatic structure. The aromas of our 2004 are intense and very ripe with a background note of spicy toasted French oak. Scents of plums, blackberries and violets are dominant. The flavors are dark and rich on the palate following through with the dark fruit theme. The wine is soft in its tannins but balanced with good acidity. Vineyards and Growing Season: The 2004 growing season was hot with deep ripening fruit that gave us wines of good structure. Both sugars and acids were balanced and optimal throughout our contracted Syrah vineyards. I believe that Syrah achieves best results in our climate if allowed to begin its characteristic dehydration. I remain dedicated to blending different vineyard sources to achieve balanced, full flavored wines. Winemaking: ICV D54 yeast was used with a maximum fermentation temp of 88F Pump-overs 2 to 3 times daily until fermented to ca. 5 degrees brix Bottled 7/05 Malo-lactic positive Aged in both American and French oak barrels Alcohol: 13.8%

Red Wine by Barnard Griffin from Columbia Valley, Washington. This 2005 vintage Merlot is a worthy successor to the award winning 2004. Aromas of black cherries and red currants dominate the nose. There is a good dose of medium toasted European oak barrels. One can see a great vintage in the 2005 with moderate tannins and good acid. This wine is drinking well now and has some punch worthy of 5-8 years of aging.

Red Wine by Baron Herzog from California. This is a very approachable Cabernet Sauvignon with berry and plum notes finishing with fruity blackberry and spice flavors. It is light in the mouth with food-friendly acidity and tannin and hints of sweet French oak on the finish.

Red Wine by Barossa Valley Estate from Barossa Valley, Australia. The picturesque village of Ebenezer was founded in the northern region of the Barossa Valley in 1851. The first vineyards at Ebenezer were established at the time of settlement and have been painstakingly nurtured ever since. It is from these vineyards that the Barossa Valley Estate Ebenezer range was born. Fruit for the Ebenezer range of wines are picked predominantly from low cropping Barossa vines ensuring that the wines are rich and full bodied with intense varietal and regional character. Deep earthen blood red in color with soft purple hues, this wine displays a wonderful bouquet of lifted cherry blossom and blackberry, complexed by hints of chocolate, anise and oak tones. The full palate is rich and ripe, with a firm, fleshy body and supple, rounded tannins. Exhibiting a long, lingering finish, with careful cellaring this wine will continue to improve for up to seven years after its release. Enjoy with strongly flavored cheeses and rich red meat dishes.

Red Wine by Barton & Guestier from French, France - regions. In France, the local bistro is where folks go to relax, socialize, drink wine and dine in a casual, friendly setting. This Cabernet Sauvignon has all the right qualities of a good bistro wine: it is simple, delicious and pairs well with many foods and flavors. In making this wine, low-yield vines are carefully selected and hand-tended with minimal interference, allowing for the natural ripening of the grapes. This careful attention yields a Cabernet Sauvignon that is rich and full-bodied. This stylish wine shows bright plum and black currant aromas accompanied by distinctive notes of vanilla. Ripe tannins lead to a long, velvety finish. The different soils of the vineyard sources (clay and limestone in Limoux and gravel in the Gard) add complexity and richness to the wine. Showing medium-full body, the flavors are rich, succulent and balanced, with berry-pepper flavors echoing the aromas. Quite spicy, lush and round with medium tannins and good acidity. A great barbecue wine, and one that marries well with wild game or spicy pastas as well.

Red Wine by Beaulieu - BV from California. Dark ruby color. Fully ripe plummy aromas with hints of dark chocolate, subtle herbs and black cherry herald similarly intense fruit flavors. Medium-full bodied, with a velvety texture and ripe, lush fruit balanced by subtle acidity and mild tannins. This Coastal Merlot is juicy and deep. Food ideas: Try with richer pasta dishes, pizza, grilled chicken and hard cheeses like Dry Jack.

Red Wine by Beaulieu - BV from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot Georges de Latour is the classic, original Reserve California wine, reflecting many decades of experience with some of Napa Valley's most historic vineyards. This wine was aged for 21 months in oak. Hand-harvested fruit, whole berries, careful but vigorous extraction during fermentation and gentle handling throughout the winemaking process yield a stunning wine for the ages. The 2004 vintage of this extraordinary wine offers intense aromas of black fruits, mocha, toast and briar. It is full bodied, with rich, mouth-filling tannins and deeply concentrated black currant, vanilla and anise flavors. This vintage will require seven to nine years of aging to reach maturity, yet tastes fine now - an excellent example of the vintage.

Medium full-bodied, with lush berry, anise and jam flavors, balanced by sweet lush fruit and supple tannins. Very fine Cabernet fruit flavors and firm but plushtexture make this wine drinkable now, yet capable of aging for 5-8 years. Enjoy with grilled meat dishes, a rich lamb stew or firm cheeses like Manchego.
